Ruth Cole – Credentialled Diabetes Educator

Raised in Central Queensland, Ruth has always been fascinated by how the body works. This curiosity led her to study science, nursing, and health promotion, building a strong foundation for her career in health care.

Ruth began specialising in diabetes education in 2010 and became a Credentialled Diabetes Educator in 2015. She finds diabetes education deeply rewarding, as it combines her love of science with her passion for teaching and supporting people to better understand and manage their diabetes.

Working closely with GPs, practice nurses, allied health professionals and patients, Ruth values a team-based approach to diabetes management. She enjoys helping patients feel confident in their diabetes management and supported throughout their health journey.

Outside of work, Ruth enjoys spending time with her family, crocheting, and gardening.
